ARTIST STATEMENT
My art practice is influenced by many things that happen outside of my studio. As much as I love painting and printmaking in my space the direction for the work comes from visual stimulation, reading, archiving, memory and analysis that in turn create a project. That project becomes a series of pieces that I work on with failure and success as my guide.
In recent work, I have been using cold wax with oil color both powdered and in paint form. Also, charcoal, marble dust and natural elements like sand are sometimes added to the medium.
I am making the art that I love to make. Thank you for visiting my site.
